Highlights

Temiskaming Shores City Hall

Temiskaming Shores City Hall, located along the shores of Haileybury and in the heart of the city, is the administrative center for municipal governance. It houses the mayor’s office, city council chambers, and various administrative departments, as well as the Temiskaming Art Gallery. Serving as a hub for public meetings and community events, it symbolizes Temiskaming Shores' commitment to public service, civic engagement, and artistic expression.

Harbourfront Park

The Harbourfront Park is a beautiful playground that provides excellent views of Lake Temiskaming. It is located right beside the Harbourfront Place, a popular venue for local events, and a short walk away from local attractions such as the Haileybury beach and the marina. This charming spot is perfect for families and visitors looking to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the waterfront.

The Harbour Place

The Haileybury Harbour Place is located right on the shores of Lake Temiskaming and serves as an ideal spot for community gatherings. During the summer, it hosts a wide variety of events and celebrations. From Art in the Park every Wednesday evening, to the annual North on Tap Beer Fest. The Harbour Place is also a popular venue to perform wedding ceremonies.

Pioneer Spirit

Standing proudly in front of Haileybury Harbour Place is the Pioneer Spirit statue, crafted by Ernie Fauvelle. This monument honors the pioneers who survived the Great Fire of 1922 by hiding in swamps, lakes, and wells. In just six hours that fateful October day, 90% of Haileybury was reduced to ashes, leaving 3,000 people homeless. The Great Fire of 1922 is remembered as one of the ten worst natural disasters in Canadian history.

Haileybury Marina

The Haileybury Marina is a highlight of the waterfront that's well worth a visit. Featuring 176 boat slips divided into two distinct sections, it's a popular destination for sailboats. If you find yourself in Haileybury on a Wednesday, be sure to catch the sailboat outing at 6pm, when boats leave the marina for a friendly race. The Haileybury waterfront is an ideal spot for sailing, thanks to the favorable winds that make departures and returns smooth and easy.

Haileybury Beach

Haileybury Beach offers a fun and relaxing atmosphere for visitors of all ages. Unique in its design, this beach features an enclosed swimming area within the lake, complete with aeration and chlorine to ensure pristine water quality. Enjoy the waterslide, fountain, and wading pool, or simply bask on the expansive sandy shore. With diverse amenities, Haileybury Beach promises enjoyment for everyone.

One Foot Forward Spray Zone

The grand opening of the One Foot Forward Spray Zone was July 27, 2024. This park adds to the fun that can be had for families at the Haileybury Beach. This project was funded by the Gord and Greyson Zubyck Memorial Fund. To our good friends John and Shelly Zubyck who continue to give back to the community in honour of Gord and Greyson, thank you!

Camsell Park

Camsell Park is a fantastic playground located just behind Haileybury Beach. It’s the perfect spot for picnics and a delightful place for children to play before and after a day at the beach. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun or let the kids burn off some energy, Camsell Park has something for everyone to enjoy.
